Blue Sky Inn

This place sits against the mountains, it has a fire pit and it is great for dogs, my dog had a blast. The breakfast is fantastic and the employees are outstanding. I highly recommend staying here especially with a pet.

Room was very clean. Staff is friendly. Reasonably priced.

This motel is very beautiful and cozy And a perfect destination for a north Georgia explore day.

Holiday weekend yet rates were reasonable, pet friendly @ $20 fee, and rooms were clean, breakfast was good.

Me and my friends had a wonderful stay here! The owner & front desk worker were so kind.. maybe it depends on the room per some reviews but our room was spotless, beds were comfy, ac worked great & was just as loud as any ol window unit. Property was kept clean & quiet, didn’t have much interaction with other guests. Not sure about breakfast as we didn’t eat any, but they had a “happy hour” as well which included free drinks for all adults in the room! Only “cons” are that the water temp in the shower is complicated to figure out, but I’m sure they would’ve been more than happy to explain had I asked, and the happy hour only had beer ): I’m a girl gimme a seltzer!!! 5 stars 10/10 , would recommend & rebook!

Pleasant surprise for a spontaneous trip to Blue Ridge. Called an hour before we were to arrive. Remodeled room, nice green space. Much better rates than in the town.

The motel is old BUT very clean. Because the motel is so dated is why I gave 3 stars on the room. The rooms are clean and more updated than the building itself but we aren't given a way to give the outside a star rating. Pets are welcome here. The location is beautiful, nestled in the mountains. It's within a quick drive to downtown with many shops and restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely stay here! It was myself, my husband & our 2 kids (5 & 1yrs). We really liked the staff as they were all friendly and attentive. We had a random issue with the bed frame and they came at 10pm to fix it with smiles on their faces! We enjoyed interacting with the people staying there too. We had smores with strangers one night at the fire pit in the back lawn area & made new friends with people at breakfast! The breakfast was simple but it was yummy & even my picky kids were happy! We also got to speak with the owner on several occasions & we really like him. He's good people & you don't get the meet the owner at big chain locations. We liked that it felt like we were valued (& not just dollar signs) by staying there. The room was pretty basic but very comfortable! You can tell that they put care & efforts to upgrade the room & it's paid off! The floors were a little dirty but nothing that took away from our 4 night stay!

Over many years of travel, I have often wondered what it might be like to buy one of those roadside motels - you know the ones - single story, modest in stature, and filled with all manner of people from just about anywhere. Buy it and make it into something my own. On a recent trip with my musician husband, as a part of Interstellar Echoes - a Pink Floyd Tribute Band, we had occasion to stay at one such place. The Blue Sky Inn along the Appalachian Highway in Blue Ridge, GA is definitely a vision in progress. The rooms were renovated with special decor touches and the grounds added that little something special not found at chain hotels. The staff were welcoming, cheerful, and helpful. Cleanliness must be a priority for the staff as there was not a butt to be found anywhere and the rooms sparkled. (Yeah, I’m that gal who travels with Lysol and cleaning wipes…but, I didn’t need them at The Blue Sky!) Breakfast was tasty. We had waffles, eggs, bacon and coffee. (Please have dedicated hot water for tea drinkers). There was yogurt, fruit, bagels, and juice available as well. Evenings at The Blue Sky are made for meeting new friends. The motel offers a happy hour along with the chance to meet and greet. A lovely touch. Overall, I was pleased with the stay and glad to have been able to get a glimpse into just how dreams can become a reality. Good Job and best of luck Blue Sky.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our plans to Blue Sky Inn because we had a conflict. The manager, Cindy and their staff were very accommodating and helpful in this. We hope to stay here in the future because they were so very kind.
